Bacteriostatic Water is a sterile diluent formulated for the reconstitution of lyophilized research peptides and compounds. Each vial contains purified water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, a bacteriostatic agent that inhibits microbial growth and allows the vial to be drawn from multiple times without compromising sterility — typically for up to 28 days after first puncture when stored correctly.
